Nothing new there. Your memory has been EOL for quite a while now.
When Proxy is enabled, each domain you add to Cloudflare will resolve to different IPs. They are still shared IPs but different IPs.
This is what is behind these class A/C requirements. Some SEO myths recommend hosting each domain on different IPs, hoping this will help them avoid being identified as PBNs.
